It’s no secret that Saturday Night Live isn’t the comical gem it once was a few years ago when the ladies were running things (hey Tina Fey and Amy Poehler!). But if there is any reason to tune in to the show before year end, it has to be because the electric lady herself, Janelle Monáe, is going to be a musical guest on it on October 26.
She will be the musical act accompanying first-time host Edward Norton, who has appeared on the program in the past for skit cameos, but never has hosted. Not sure why he is taking on such duties, considering that he doesn’t have any new projects going on right now that he’s promoting; but hey, there’s a first time for everything, and he might actually be funny.
As for Monáe, there’s no word yet on what she will be performing off of her sophomore studio album, though I have a feeling it will be “Dance Apocalyptic” and “Primetime.” If the latter is true, that could make for a pretty steamy live duet between the gorgeous singer and Miguel. I will be sitting front and center on Oct. 26 to find out if all this happens on the show, what about you?
